Marfel's Lodge Annex: Your home in Batanes
That being said. Hotels are non existent here. Instead hometels and homestays are the popular and most probably the only way to stay in this province, as of 2018.
I booked Marfel's Lodge Annex and availed the Fan Room with just 500 peso rate. AC rate on the other hand is double the rate which is 1000 pesos. There are 4 rooms in the annex which are all having AC and fan on-board. When you avail the fan rate, they just cut the electricity to the AC socket so you can't use it.
It is summer when I came and there are times that there will be rain, so it can be cold already but when it is hot, it is really hot. Because the roof is cemented, you can feel heat when it's hot and cold when it's raining.
The caretaker is really kind. But she has a schedule, lol. She is not there from 10am to 4pm.

Living Room
Since this is a homestay, you could have anything you want in a home, kitchen, gas, cable tv (don't expect too much on the quality). The 3 rooms are inside the house, while 1 is outside. Of course, being in one home means casual talks with your "neighbors". It's like being on a hostel with a common area but with private rooms.

There's also a mini honesty store there. You know the drill, you pay what you get without someone seeing you pay.
Dining area
There's hot shower but no toiletries besides the towel. There's no wifi. Good if you want to disconnect, kinda bad if you're a freelancer, like me. There are free airport transfers because it's really near the airport. There's also daily breakfast (mostly silog) with 3-in-1 coffee sachet (self-service).
A highly recommended homestay with great garden in front of it. :)
